Kara Uhrich is delighted to serve as the Assistant Director for First-Year Experience and Orientation. She earned her B.A. in English Literature and K-12 Education from Rowan University and her master's degree in College Student Affairs from Rutgers University. Kara’s areas of professional interest include students in transition, training and development, and working with student leaders. Her responsibilities include coordinating and planning Orientation, selecting and training the Orientation student staff, and overseeing the 5 x 10 Programs. Prior to coming to Lehigh in August 2014, Kara worked at Rutgers University as a Residence Life Educator in a first-year residence hall. As a New Jersey native, Kara is enjoying learning about the Lehigh Valley and everything it has to offer! In her free time, Kara enjoys baking, dancing, and spending time with her husband, Tim.
