Outreach and Community Intervention

General Overview of Outreach Services:

The University’s Counseling and Psychological Services Center (UCPS) functions as one of many partners helping individuals make the most out of their experiences at Lehigh. Through our outreach efforts, we seek to strengthen well-being, aid development, and foster resilience of the campus community - students, faculty, and staff. We view our outreach programs as collaborative partnerships to work with student groups, academic classes, and various university departments. Our aim is to develop a program to best meet your needs.

Our Events:

UCPS outreach events are tailored to meet the needs of your specific and unique group. They range from providing support at your planned events (including orientation or special topic presentations) to building and facilitating workshops and discussions. We are also available to speak to your group about UCPS services.

Typically our presentations last anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the needs and size of the group. While we are happy to develop a new presentation to meet specific needs, below you can find a list of our frequently requested programs.

Supporting the Campus Community:

UCPS is available to provide support to all members of the Lehigh community in the event that they have experienced distress related to crises or traumatic incidents (either on Lehigh’s campus or in a larger sociocultural context).

For more information about outreach services or to schedule a presentation or workshop, please contact Lauren Falgout at 610-758-3880 or lef423@lehigh.edu at least two weeks before your requested presentation. At that point, you will be asked to schedule a consultation to further discuss your needs and plan how to best meet them.
