Unfortunately due to the size, policies of partner companies, and the uncertainty of COVID-19, we are unable to open the registration for OAP at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we hope you may see another program of interest and recommend you sign up for one if you are hoping to participate in preLUsion.

Do you enjoy being adventurous, meeting new people, and being outdoors? If so, then OAP is for you! This program takes you to the great outdoors on an unforgettable trip where you’ll step outside your comfort zone, embrace the leader within you, and meet some of the best people who will help make your Lehigh experience truly amazing. Every year we offer exciting new adventures to go along with our timeless traditions, which you'll get to experience within a small "color team" of your peers and student leaders. This 3 day, 2 night trip takes place mostly off-campus in the Poconos, and while we are still finalizing our Fall 2020 trip you can preview the adventures we plan to offer below:

  • EXPLORE: Hiking We kick off our trip by hitting the hiking trails up and around Mt. Tammamy, with picturesque views overlooking the Delaware Water Gap and Mt. Minsi. This adventure offers you a choice of hike difficulty, so you can start the trip off on the right foot. But don't worry, each difficulty option ensures amazing views and plenty of time to get to know the other participants exploring with you.
  • BATTLE: Team Challenge Our newest tradition pits the color teams against one another in a battle that features a range of wet and wild challenges and activities. Prepare to get head-to-toe dirty while battling it out for team victory!
  • PADDLE: Whitewater Rafting The Paddle Adventure has been an OAP Staple for over 2 decades! Our final day takes us rafting down the scenic Lehigh River; sunbathing, water gun fights, and a BBQ lunch make this trip memorable. *RAFTERS MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM.
  • CONNECT: Though staff are always on-site for OAP, the trip is primarily led by trained student leaders. Between them and the 99 other participants on the trip with you, you're sure to build bonds that will help your transition into Lehigh and last throughout your college experience! This trip allows for plenty of time to build these connections between the structured adventures, team builders, nightly bonfires, and free time.
