Created in September 2012, the Student Affairs Strategic Plan for Assessment is designed to provide guidance, structure and coordination for assessment processes and support evidence-based decision making within the division. The creation of this plan was viewed as critical to ensure that the division would be able to continue providing the best educational experiences and opportunities for Lehigh students.
This plan was created by the Student Affairs Assessment Committee, which was charged with providing oversight and leadership for assessment across the division. Fluid committee membership allows for flexibility as the charge and tasks change based on divisional needs. Chaired by the Director of Planning & Assessment, it is vitally important that the committee consist of permanent members from the Office of Institutional Research as well as various members of the Student Affairs division. Currently the committee is undergoing a revision based on the developing new charge to offer consulting for Student Affairs departments whose projects and assessment work span multiple populations of students and to coordinate professional development opportunities within and beyond the division.
