Want to bring your college experience to the next level? We are calling on all interested young men to come learn about Phi Sigma Chi Multicultural Fraternity Inc. Founded in the NYC College of Technology on November 16, 1996, Phi Sigma Chi is one of the first truly multicultural Greek organizations and one of the founding members of the National Multicultural Greek Council (NMGC). The Mu chapter was founded at Lehigh in the Spring of 2021 and has grown rapidly ever since. At our informational, you will learn about our philanthropies, our mission, our activism and service, our traditions (like strolling and stepping) and our goals for Lehigh and beyond. Students will be required to meet with a faculty/staff member at least twice for 30 minutes (once in September and October). During these meetings, faculty/staff members will help students set academic and personal goals, consider resources for success, and encourage thoughtful reflection around bLUeprint's 5 Foundations. The second meeting will include goal setting follow up from the first meeting, tracking and reflecting on the 5x10 program, and discussing the student's involvement and overall transition to Lehigh. This meeting should occur during October and around the 7th and 8th week of classes. For Civic Engagement Day, Student Senate will be hosting a breakfast get together at 9am for everyone that is participating in voting and the election. We will gather with everyone to help the people who are voting and to provide them with important information for voting day. We will walk them to the polls, we will help them find their polling locations, and we will be there to answer any of their questions through out the day. We will also be having informational guest speakers (professors, staff, etc.) come in to answer questions by the students sessions and talk about important topics/panels like how the electoral college works, how marginalized groups involved in voting, and specialized topic sessions.
