TIPS (Training for Intervention ProcedureS) is a skills-based training program designed to prevent unsafe intoxication, drunk driving, and underage drinking by enhancing the fundamental "people skills" of servers, sellers and consumers of alcohol. TIPS provides individuals the knowledge and confidence they need to recognize potential alcohol-related problems and intervene to prevent alcohol-related emergencies. The program will also discuss relevant University and local policies and laws regarding alcohol use, such as the University Medical Amnesty policy. Lehigh has approximately ten TIPS Certified Trainers whom are available for chapter trainings.
