Fraternity and Sorority Life

You are here

Welcome!

The fraternity and sorority community has a long-standing history at Lehigh University. Our first organization was founded shortly after Lehigh University’s founding, and continues to grow. The purpose of these organizations is to develop students holistically across their founding principles that foster leadership, service, scholarship, integrity, and friendship.

Fraternity and Sorority Life works with students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and other invested constituents to enhance the development of Lehigh University students through Greek membership. Our staff works with fraternity and sorority members to provide support alongside educational, cultural, and leadership development programs which meet their needs beyond the classroom.

Fraternities and sororities provide multiple opportunities for personal and professional development on a local, regional and national level. An investment in fraternity or sorority membership provides academic support, leadership experiences, relationships, career networking, civic engagement opportunities, and the benefits of lifelong affiliation.

We are excited to be a part of shaping Lehigh’s future through the positive impact our Greek community has on campus. Our office is committed to excellence, accountability, transparency and open communication.  We continue to challenge our organizations to create an accepting and inclusive atmosphere for all students, regardless of background or affiliation.

VISION:

Lehigh's Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life aspires to cultivate the premier values-based community experience in the nation.

MISSION:

Our office supports student development by focusing on scholarship, leadership, service, community, advocacy, safety and wellness. Support is fostered through strategic partnerships with students, parents and families, alumni volunteers, and inter/national headquarters staff. Fraternity and Sorority Life challenges ourselves and our stakeholders to provide:

  • proactive and preventative measures to foster wellness and safety;
  • a commitment to The Principles of our Equitable Community; and
  • a learning-centered environment connecting individual, organizational and community experiences through values-based decision making.
