Dr. Ashley Lemmons

Assistant Vice President and Dean for Student Life and Leadership

Dr. Ashley Lemmons brings over 20 years of higher education leadership experience to her role as Assistant Vice President and Dean for Student Life and Leadership. In this capacity, she provides strategic oversight for a broad portfolio including community service, residence life, student conduct and community expectations, student center facilities, and student involvement. A dedicated member of the Lehigh community since 2015, she most recently served as Associate Dean of Students, where she championed out-of-classroom learning and advanced systems-level thinking across the division.

Throughout her tenure, Ashley has been a champion of student learning, notably working with the bLUeprint Curriculum Committee to implement a comprehensive curricular approach to student life and leadership. She has also played a critical role in university crisis response and behavioral intervention, overseeing the Dean on Duty rotation and serving on the student care team. Prior to Lehigh, she held progressive leadership roles at the University of South Carolina, the University of Miami, and the University of Georgia.

Beyond her work on campus, Ashley is a recognized thought leader in student affairs. She currently serves as the President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College Personnel Association (PCPA) and is a faculty member for the Institute on the Curricular Approach. She also serves as a consultant and Certified Professional Coach helping organizations thrive through team development, restorative practices, and curricular frameworks in student affairs.

Ashley holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University, a Master of Education from Auburn University, and a Bachelor of Science from Shorter College.
