Getting Home
Getting home for break requires preparation, and when you’re in a new area, finding the needed information to plan your trip can be difficult. Lehigh students use many different transportation methods to get home, including buses and air travel. Here are some local services that are available.
Bus Services
Trans-Bridge Lines, Bieber Transportation Group, and Greyhound all operate bus services out of the South Bethlehem Bus Terminal. This is the closest bus stop to Lehigh’s campus, and is found at 12 E. Trans-Bridge Lines has service from the South Bethlehem Bus Terminal to Port Authority. More information can be found at its website.
Air Travel
Philadelphia International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and John F. Kennedy International Airport are all within a two-hour radius of Lehigh’s campus. Furthermore, you can use the local airport, Lehigh Valley International Airport, to catch connecting flights to larger hubs.

How do I get to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) from Lehigh?
Take the Bieber Transportation Group Bus from bus stop at 12 E. Mechanic Street to Philadelphia (30th Street Station). Tickets can be purchased directly at the bus stop or online. The bus will take around 1 hour and 50 minutes. From 30th Street Station, take the SEPTA train (which is located in the station. Tickets can be purchased at the booth), which will directly take you to all of the terminals. The train will take 20 minutes and returns to the station frequently.
How do I get to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) or John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) from Lehigh?
Take the Trans-Bridge Lines bus from bus stop at 12 E. Mechanic Street which will take you directly to the airport. The bus trip will take around 1.5 hours to 2 hours. Tickets can be purchased at the bus stop or at the airport depending on where you are coming from. Schedule and fare information can be found on their website.
How do I get to Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) from Lehigh?
In order to get to LVIA by bus, you can take a Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority (LANTA) bus from the bus station on North Side of Bethlehem at Guetter and Broad Street. Click here to open the location in Google Maps. Getting to the bus station takes 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes by walking. Take the 215 Bus Northbound and get off at the Lehigh Valley International Airport at the Lower Level stop, where you can make your way to the airport.
