Can You Read This?

Does anyone write in cursive anymore? Can anyone read your handwriting? What about handwritten documents from hundreds of years ago? In this 5x10 students will learn about the intersections between alphabets, languages, cultures, and scripts. We will analyze unique manuscripts written from the Middle Ages to the Modern period in languages including Latin, English, and Arabic. We will demonstrate how to transcribe sections of text in unfamiliar scripts and languages and attempt to translate the text to decode its meaning. Learn how to adapt to challenging and unfamiliar forms of communication. This session will provide an opportunity to interact with centuries-old material and learn about the rare and historical material available through the Lehigh Libraries Special Collections.

Fall Carnival Presented by Hawkathon

Car Club Shirt Sale

Lehigh Car Club will be holding a T-Shirt sale on the 25th of October on the Memorial Walkway. The sale will occur from 11am to 6pm, while supplies last. Car Club shirt sales are an amazing way for the Lehigh Car Club to meet and socialize with more of the Lehigh community. Our pop-up shirt sales provide excellent social exposure for any member of campus looking to get involved. All proceeds of the sale go directly to the funding of Lehigh Car Club events.
