Join the Central Asian Student Association for a special movie night featuring Qas (Kash), a powerful film that explores the historical repressions faced by Central Asian communities during the Soviet Union era. The film delves into the struggles, resistance, and resilience of individuals and families affected by political persecution, shedding light on a crucial but often overlooked part of history.
The screening will be followed by a short discussion where participants can share their thoughts on the historical context and its impact on modern Central Asia. This event aims to foster understanding, awareness, and dialogue about the region’s history and cultural heritage.
We invite students, faculty, and the wider university community to join us in this educational and thought-provoking event. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
Hosted by: Central Asian Students Association
