CSBA Field Day
Event Date
CSBA Field day will be an event where groups of 4-5 students will compete against each other in a trial of activities such as potato sack racing, water balloon toss, and etc. The groups will compete for prizes based on how fast they complete the obstacle course. This event is for organization bonding and a time to enjoy before finals.

Songkran
Event Date
To celebrate Songkran, SEAL and TLCA (Thai Lao Cambodian Alliance) will host an event featuring three mini-games and stations for attendees to enjoy. Each activity will be supervised by E-board members. Mini-games include hopscotch, sharks and minnows, and steal the bacon. Stations will offer face painting with baby powder, a water balloon toss, and snacks/refill station. Attendees can also win prizes at the mini-game stations. The event concludes with a traditional water splashing celebration. Bringing Songkran to Lehigh’s campus aligns with SEAL’s and TLCA’s mission to promote Southeast Asian culture.

D&L Canal Trail BioBlitz and Cleanup

Get excited to walk on the D&L trail and take pictures of fungi, plants, and insects! We will spend a few hours in the evening walking, picking up trash, and looking for organisms to document as part of the 2024 Bethlehem City Nature Challenge (City Nature Challenge 2024: Bethlehem · iNaturalist). This hike/walk is a collaboration between the Lehigh BioBlitz Club and Lehigh Outing Club.
Transportation for this trip will not be provided: we will meet at the Sand Island trailhead of the D&L Trail, a ten-minute walk from campus. Participation will be confirmed via email the week before the event.

Tongan Tapa: Cloth Paint Night

Polynesian Student Alliance and Lehigh Fashion Collective are hosting a Tongan Tapa Cloth Paint Night. This will be a cultural event where participants gather to engage in the traditional art of tapa cloth painting. Tapa cloth, also known as ngatu, is a type of bark cloth made from the inner bark of certain trees, primarily the paper mulberry tree. In Tongan culture, tapa cloth holds significant cultural and social importance and is used in various ceremonies, rituals, and as clothing, decorations, and gifts.

Moth Lighting
Event Date
Get excited to partake in a moth sheet lighting. We will be using blacklights to attract moths and other flying insects so we can take pictures, identify them, and log the organisms in INaturalist to contribute to the City Nature Challenge (City Nature Challenge 2024: Bethlehem · iNaturalist).
