The committee on Undergraduate Awards and Prizes is gathering nominations for its prestigious Undergraduate Student Awards. Also, the Dean of Students Office is accepting nominations for the celebrated Student Life Leadership Awards.

Mr. Burgundy & Grey is a male pageant in which contestants can compete in various rounds including but not limited to trivia, "Impress an LTA", and a final questions round to win a cash prize. This however is not the average sorority event, the purpose behind it is much larger, of a deeper meaning, and of great importance to us. Lambda Theta Alpha's national philanthropy is St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and our Mr. Burgundy & Grey event has historically been the most profitable fundraising event for our chapter for this organization. Every year we donate the proceeds from Mr. Burgundy & Grey to the hospital, as well as educating the attendees about all of the good that St. Jude does. One of the reasons why St. Jude is so important is because they do not charge any attendees or family of attendees any hospital fees. They cover all costs of travel, housing, and medical bills so that the only thing the children and their parents are focused on is beating cancer. The check in desks are very short- at child height - so that these children can feel like they are taking charge of their condition. Thus, we view Mr. Burgundy and Grey as our drop in the bucket to fund this hospital's efforts, and to help the thousands of children in their care.

GWS Saturday Write-Ins are hybrid events held on the 4th Saturday of every full month for graduate students to devote to their writing projects. Graduate students create and share goals, spend time working, and then share accomplishments. It is a fantastic opportunity to make progress on your writing or coursework and to meet other graduate students from across campus.

The event will start with 30 minutes teaching the basics of dancing Bachata, a Latin dance. Then the event will consist of the participants in two lines. Every 3 minutes, participants will switch partners. Ultimately, all participants will have the chance to dance with everyone else. The last 30 minutes are for cleaning up and final announcements for our club.
