Lunar New Year is celebrated across Asia & within many diverse cultures. This holiday represents a plethora of things, but above all else, family & good fortune. This collaboration comes from a strong desire to foster cultural awareness & understanding, but most importantly, to promote unity among Lehigh’s greater student body. We aim to reflect these themes not only through food & games, but also through giveaways rooted in cultural traditions like red envelopes. Because Asia is not a homogenous region, we will also be discussing & sharing stories of variations of Lunar New Year festivities as they pertain to different Asian cultures. Fostering this important cross-cultural dialogue will increase attendees’ knowledge of global difference & encourage them to find beauty in the diversity of Lunar New Year traditions.

The HWC will be hosting a FREE STI Clinic on Tuesday 1/30, Wednesday 2/14, and Tuesday 2/27 from 9:00am - 11:00am & 1:00pm - 4:00pm. You can schedule an appointment on your Student Health Portal. All testing (and visits) are confidential. You will receive your results via secure message in your student health portal in ~24-48 hours. Please enter the clinic and check-in on the 2nd floor; entrance is located on the west-side of Johnson Hall (facing Hitch, Maida, Singleton and Trembley). *Screening provided is for Chlamydia & Gonorrhea. Please be advised that screening includes a urine sample. For other screenings, please contact the Health & Wellness Center.
