Join Break the Silence Peer Educators for their annual Valentine's Day event 5 Senses of Consent. Get comfortable and put on a pair of PJs for some pillow talk. 6-8 pm food, games, trivia, and giveaways followed by an 8 pm workshop on "talking dirty" with Jill Lissner.
Jill Lissner (she/her) is a sex educator, speaker, and content creator in the greater Philadelphia region. On social media, she shares educational content that is shame-free and pleasure-positive to increase online conversations around sexuality. Jill also works as the senior manager of Community Outreach and Information services at AccessMatters, a non-profit focusing on expanding access to sexual and reproductive healthcare in Southeastern Pennsylvania. She is a Widener University graduate student and will be earning her master’s in education in Human Sexuality this spring. Prior to this, she graduated from Muhlenberg College in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Jill continues to pursue opportunities where she is providing medically accurate, inclusive, and comprehensive sex education to all. SEAL is hosting a Southeast Asian-themed plush-making event for Valentine's Day. Attendees can create felt plushies inspired by national animals like elephants, lions, tigers, and crocodiles. The event includes an informational presentation on diverse Valentine's Day traditions in Southeast Asia. The goal is to acquaint attendees with Southeast Asian Valentine's Day customs and give them the opportunity to craft their own national animal mascot plushies.

The HWC will be hosting a FREE STI Clinic on Tuesday 1/30, Wednesday 2/14, and Tuesday 2/27 from 9:00am - 11:00am & 1:00pm - 4:00pm. You can schedule an appointment on your Student Health Portal. All testing (and visits) are confidential. You will receive your results via secure message in your student health portal in ~24-48 hours. Please enter the clinic and check-in on the 2nd floor; entrance is located on the west-side of Johnson Hall (facing Hitch, Maida, Singleton and Trembley). *Screening provided is for Chlamydia & Gonorrhea. Please be advised that screening includes a urine sample. For other screenings, please contact the Health & Wellness Center.
