No Lost Generation aims to increase campus awareness about issues such as refugees and migrants. We are collaborating with LUAG to present an event about migrants by showcasing art made by migrants to the local Bethlehem community and to Lehigh students. This event will showcase the art of migrants through the eyes of migrants. We are hoping that this will create discussion and connection between members of the Bethlehem community and Lehigh students. We have a longstanding relationship with the ESL classes at Cathedral Church of the Nativity where many local Bethlehem residents practice English. We have invited the teachers and students at the ESL classes to this event as well as members of our own campus community to build connections between Lehigh University and South Bethlehem. We will also provide light refreshments and pastries to the attendees. The goal of the activity is to produce a collage made by the attendees of the event. We are hoping that this college will reflect collective thought on the migrant/immigrant experience.

Trauma-informed yoga is a research proven way to help survivors of sexual trauma and those experiencing vicarious trauma heal from their trauma symptoms. It is a combination of focused breathing and mindfulness skills, as well as healing poses. Trauma-informed yoga is an opportunity to learn how to work with your own discomforts. It is a judgment free zone where every participant is able to go at their own pace and skill level. The practice is not meant to be a high cardio or strength training workout, it focuses on grounding, breathing, and mindfulness with comfortable, stretching poses.
Our instructor, Liz Jordon, is certified in trauma-informed practice. The instructor does not leave her own mat and will never touch participants to adjust their pose throughout the practice. It is a space where your body is entirely yours.
