Assistant Vice President and Dean for Student Wellbeing 

Dugeidy Ortiz is a senior administrator with over 20 years of experience advancing health, well-being, and equity. In her role as Assistant Vice President for Student Wellbeing, she supervises the Health and Wellness Center, University Counseling and Psychological Services, Campus Recreation, Survivor Support and Intimacy Education, and Health Advancement and Prevention Strategies. Her career reflects a deep commitment to integrating public health frameworks into the core infrastructure of student support.

Ms. Ortiz brings specialized expertise in leading multidisciplinary clinical, wellness, and student support teams. At Lehman College (CUNY), she served as Director of Student Support Programs, where she oversaw the health center, wellness education, disability support services, emergency grants, veterans' affairs, childcare, and counseling services. As a member of the senior leadership team, she worked to establish a coordinated, holistic student support system designed to meet students' evolving needs. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she took on expanded senior leadership responsibilities managing campus-wide public health operations, policy implementation, and emergency funding. Her earlier work in community health with agencies such as the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene continues to inform her data-driven approach to population-level health strategies.

At Lehigh, Ms. Ortiz served as Assistant to the Vice President and Director of Special Projects, where she led division-wide initiatives encompassing strategic planning, administrative oversight, and high-priority assignments on behalf of the Vice President.

A systems-oriented leader, Ms.Ortiz excels at managing complex operations across multiple functional areas. Throughout her career in higher education, her leadership has consistently emphasized cross-functional collaboration and the development of policies and processes that improve student outcomes and broaden institutional access.

Ms. Ortiz holds a Master of Arts in Applied Medical Anthropology from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College.
