While you may not be directly affected by hazing, it is on all of us in the Lehigh University community to prevent hazing. In order to prepare our community to be strong allies in our hazing prevention initiative, information about hazing and what you need to know is broken down by community members.
Workshops at Lehigh
Intervene
The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs offers access to Intervene, a 60-minute in-person workshop that provides an opportunity for students to view the video with others and engage in a facilitated conversation to reflect upon the attitudes and behaviors that influence the process of intervening as an individual or with assistance. Participants also discuss additional related scenarios not included in the film.
This program is being used with the permission of The Skorton Center for Health Initiatives at Cornell Health, in collaboration with the Cornell Interactive Theater Ensemble, which developed the bystander intervention video and workshop called Intervene © 2016.

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs offers several parent and family webinars covering different topics.
Hazing Prevention, Awareness & Education Training
Members of the HPC lead introductory training sessions as needed or by request (i.e. Gryphon training) covering the basics of recognizing hazing and how to report.
Leadership Programs at Lehigh
Greek EMerging Leaders
The Greek EMerging Leaders (GEM) programs selects 35- 40 outstanding new members each spring to participate in this semester leadership program in the fall. The program prepares students to be effective leaders and create positive change in their chapters and the Greek community.

Hawks Against Hazing
National Hazing Prevention Week happens on campuses across the country. Here at Lehigh it takes shape as Hawks Against Hazing and includes week-long programming to bring awareness and educate students on the harms of hazing in the Spring semester.

Haze: The Documentary
Used as a 5x10 program, the screening of Haze: The Documentary addresses the bLUeprint foundation of Inclusive Leadership. This documentary film tells the story of Gordie Bailey’s death and explores the connection between college drinking and hazing. Come join us to watch the film on National GORDIE day during National Hazing Prevention Week.
