Dabke is a Middle Eastern line dance that originated in the Levant area and is often performed at weddings and graduation. With this event, we will explore and educate students about the celebretory aspect of this dance. We will include a short speaking segment to teach students about the origins of the dance, followed by a step by step lesson on how to do the very basic steps. Additionally, we will have music and drums to fully immerse unfamiliar students in a Middle Eastern wedding environment and bring an aspect of home to our club's internal community.
