COVID-19 Community Service Office Updates

You are here

The information below is based on current University recommendations. Additional updates may be necessary as the COVID-19 situation evolves. Please continue to check Lehigh’s website for updated information and this page for the most up-to-date Community Service Office information.

Community Service Office Hours

The Community Service Office will remain open from 8:15am - 4:45pm, Monday through Friday.

CSO Tutoring

All tutoring (in-school and after-school homework clubs) is canceled for the remainder of the academic year. This decision was made in partnership with the Bethlehem Area School District.

Work Study Award and Pay Check Distribution

With the University moving to remote-learning, students are no longer able to work at their work study jobs. We are working on a plan to ensure that students continue to get paid their work study earnings. We hope to have an update in this area within the next few days. Please note, all checks will be mailed to your home address. Should you need it mailed to an alternate location, please email Ms. Barb at blb218@lehigh.edu

Spring Fling

In compliance with University guidelines, all events for 50 or more individuals are prohibited through at least the end of the academic year on Wednesday, May 13th. We are already looking forward to Spring Fling next year on March 27, 2021. Mark your calendars today!

Move Out Collection Drive and Great South Side Sale

We will be collecting unopened, non-perishable food at designated locations in every residence hall and Greek houses through Friday, March 20th. All food will be donated to our local South Bethlehem food pantries: New Bethany Ministries and the Hispanic Center of the Lehigh Valley. At this point we are not collecting any donations in anticipation of the Great South Side Sale.

Commitment to the Community

The Community Service Office has worked with our partner agencies to ensure continuity of essential services to minimize impact for our local community. While we are unable to do direct service provision we are working to maintain our commitments to addressing food insecurity.
