Following the Lehigh Theater Department's October 10 performance of Trouble in Mind at Zoellner Arts Center's Diamond Theater, visiting Africana Studies faculty fellow B. Brian Foster will offer a talkback response to the play's themes and plot. Written by Alice Childress. Wiletta Mayer, an African American actress of a certain age, has spent her career playing stereotypes, trapped on a merry-go-round of mammies, maids, and other menials. The curtain rises on the first day of rehearsal for Chaos in Belleville, a Broadway-bound play that tackles the harsh truths of racism in America. But when those truths spill out of the play and into the rehearsal hall, will Wiletta's insistence on her dignity cost her the work she desperately needs? Kashi Johnson, director. After the performance, join Brian for the after play talk-back session.

We understand that student's are navigating new environments while focusing on their academics, trying to connect with friends, building their community; you wake up one morning thinking the congestion and sore throat that started yesterday would be gone and you'd feel better, but you don't... now what? Another thing added to the list of things to navigate. "What can I take?" "Should I go to the Health & Wellness Center?" "How do I navigate that?" "Where even is the Health Center?" "What might that visit look like?"
Getting sick is unpredictable; learn how to navigate your illness and how to take care of yourself when you get sick. Join the Health & Wellness Center's Nurse Practitioners Suzanne Cleary and Kathi Mashintonio as they discuss illnesses commonly seen in our Lehigh community and how to take care of yourself.
We will be providing various foods for self care during illness - soups, fruits, and beverages.
Join us for an interactive simulation on nuclear disarmament, with a special focus on the tense nuclear history of South Asia, particularly between India and Pakistan. As two nations locked in decades of conflict, India and Pakistan’s nuclear arms race has shaped regional security and the global debate on disarmament.
By placing themselves in the roles of world leaders, students will explore the ethical, social, and political consequences of nuclear proliferation. This interactive session is not only a chance to delve deeper into South Asia’s nuclear history but also a call to action—highlighting the importance of diplomacy, collaboration, and shared humanity in shaping a safer world.
