Aims to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of gentrification's local context and its impact on communities. Key takeaways include a deep comprehension of gentrification, data-driven insights, a focus on community perspectives, an awareness of policy and planning implications, an emphasis on community engagement, the importance of equity and inclusion in development, a commitment to long-term sustainability, and a call for collaborative action among stakeholders. Ultimately, attendees should leave with the knowledge, empathy, and motivation needed to address gentrification's challenges and promote equitable, sustainable urban development in the Lehigh Valley as well as in general among cities.

Global Studies major, Ghay Soe is planning to host an event in partnership with the CAS Global Studies program and the Study Abroad office.
Last semester, Ghay traveled to Argentina, Spain, and South Africa to study abroad. This event will showcase a photo gallery of the places traveled to, providing informative backgrounds for each location. The images presented will consist of significant buildings, landscapes, the friendships formed, food, homestay, learning sites, culture, and more. This event is open to the Lehigh community. More specifically, it is for first-year students from all colleges interested in learning more about how they can get a global experience while attending Lehigh.
This is an interactive event through a photo gallery. Students will gain more insight as Ghay speaks about studying abroad, the global studies major, and the scholarship. They will also get a chance to try some of the snacks from those courses.
