Pronunciation Brush-Up for ITAs

Event Date

The workshop will focus on some of the most common pronunciation challenges faced by multilingual speakers, such as syllable stress, sentence stress, and intonation. Attendees will be provided with practical strategies for classroom communication and materials for ongoing practice. This workshop is designed for current or prospective international teaching assistants who want to improve their English pronunciation. This is a hybrid workshop, so you may attend either in-person or virtually.

Become an Advocate!

Event Date

The Gender Violence Support Advocates are a group of dedicated and compassionate Lehigh University staff members who are trained to support survivors of gender violence. In their role, Advocates provide initial belief, support and referrals to campus and community resources and reporting options and then help students navigate all their options.

Serving as an Advocate requires, among other responsibilities, an initial 15 hour training, monthly meetings, being on-call 6-9 times per year, and attending SSIE/BTS events.

If you are a faculty or staff member who is interested in serving as an Advocate, please contact Dr. Brooke DeSipio, Director of the Office of Survivor Support & Intimacy Education at bed4@lehigh.edu to learn more about the position and schedule an informational interview.
