This 5x10 program allows students to explore what they are capable of with a little persistence and see how physical exercise can be a great way to alleviate pressure from classes. Students will have a short teaching/workshop session going over climbing as an exercise form and as sport. They will then step out of their comfort zones and obtain innovative ways to reach new heights at Taylor Gym’s Lane Challenge Climbing Wall. Physical exercise can be an outlet for many students to relieve stress, have fun, and try something new! With encouragement from others and one’s personal determination students will see what can be accomplished by going one step further. Sign ups will be through Sign-up Genius.

How did people navigate the world before GPS? Did people really used to think that the world was flat? If you are curious about the history of exploration and geography then come to Linderman Library and learn about the history of maps from the original, centuries old books. Based on the current Library exhibit "Where Do We Go from Here?: Selected Maps and Atlases from the Duncan Payne and Lehigh Libraries Collections," this 5x10 event will include an exhibit tour as well as a chance to have a hands-on look at historic works on exploration and mapping from the 16th and 17th centuries. Participants will learn about how new areas if the world were explored and how maps of these new discoveries were drawn and published.
