Event Date

Students will be required to meet with a faculty/staff member at least twice for 30 minutes (once in September and once in October). During these meetings, faculty/staff members will help students set academic and personal goals, consider resources for success, and encourage thoughtful reflection around bLUeprint's 5 Foundations. The first meeting will include discussing the student's overall transition to Lehigh, goal setting, and planning and tracking progress of the 5x10 program. The first meeting should take place in September around week 3 of classes.

What is COIL? Learn about Virtual International Collaboration in English 2 & English 5

Event Date

Lehigh students can gain study abroad experience right from the convenience of their English 2 or English 5 classroom. Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) is a virtual international exchange first-year composition course partnered with Universidad de San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador. Learn about this experiential learning, composition course with the option to travel to Quito, Ecuador during spring break.
Collaborate with international classmates to build intercultural awareness and improve communication and composition skills while researching and writing about health and wellness issues with a focus on global perspectives.

Leadership LaUnchpad Series: The Leadership Labyrinth, an Interactive Escape Room

Event Date

In this workshop, students will participate in a team-building escape room focused on communication, problem-solving, decision making, and confidence building. Students will need to use their imagination and creativity to successfully pass all levels of the escape room.

Leadership LaUnchpad is a series of stand-alone leadership workshops throughout the Fall semester designed to assist first-year students to cultivate their leadership skills, discover their personal leadership philosophy, and gain knowledge about current leadership trends. Using the 5 bLUeprint foundations, students will participate in experiential-learning workshops and group discussions to LaUnch into their leadership journey at Lehigh. *Lunch Provided*
Students MUST register for each workshop they wish to attend on LINC. Attendance is limited to a certain # for each workshop and reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis.* You must attend the entirety of the workshop for it to count towards your 5 x 10 requirement.

Overcoming Housing Barriers after Incarceration

Yusuf Dahl, co-founder of The Real Estate Lab in Allentown, presents "Overcoming Housing Barriers After Incarceration." A screening of the film, Backgrounded, a compelling 15-minute Vice Media docustory that highlights the housing challenges faced by formerly incarcerated individuals in the Lehigh Valley and nationwide, will be followed by a panel of experts exploring housing restrictions in the Valley and pathways to break down barriers, empowering those seeking to rebuild their lives and unlock opportunities.
