There will be a food truck this Friday 4/26 parked in the lot near House 89 & Kappa Delta. Compliments of the Peer Helath Advisors and Office of Student Involvement, there will be FREE poutine (different syles) and water from the Flying V! The truck will be there between 10pm and 1am. Enjoy!

Join other Lehigh students, faculty, and staff for the 2024 South Mountain BioBlitz, a community biodiversity survey whose goal is to bring together people from across the university to catalog all of the plants, animals, and fungi present in the South Mountain ecosystem as part of this year's Bethlehem City Nature Challenge. We will be using the iNaturalist platform to record and identify organism observations. No prior experience is required to participate. The program for this event (available at https://tinyurl.com/2f9b8ayu) will include a breakfast and social hour, orientation session, surveying period, and upload/identification session. Food and transportation to and from the survey site on South Mountain will be provided to participants. GWS Saturday Write-Ins are hybrid events held on the 4th Saturday of every full month for graduate students to devote to their writing projects. Graduate students create and share goals, spend time working, and then share accomplishments. It is a fantastic opportunity to make progress on your writing or coursework and to meet other graduate students from across campus.

To celebrate Songkran, SEAL and TLCA (Thai Lao Cambodian Alliance) will host an event featuring three mini-games and stations for attendees to enjoy. Each activity will be supervised by E-board members. Mini-games include hopscotch, sharks and minnows, and steal the bacon. Stations will offer face painting with baby powder, a water balloon toss, and snacks/refill station. Attendees can also win prizes at the mini-game stations. The event concludes with a traditional water splashing celebration. Bringing Songkran to Lehigh’s campus aligns with SEAL’s and TLCA’s mission to promote Southeast Asian culture. CSBA Field day will be an event where groups of 4-5 students will compete against each other in a trial of activities such as potato sack racing, water balloon toss, and etc. The groups will compete for prizes based on how fast they complete the obstacle course. Get excited to walk on the D&L trail and take pictures of fungi, plants, and insects! We will spend a few hours in the evening walking, picking up trash, and looking for organisms to document as part of the 2024 Bethlehem City Nature Challenge (City Nature Challenge 2024: Bethlehem · iNaturalist). This hike/walk is a collaboration between the Lehigh BioBlitz Club and Lehigh Outing Club. Transportation for this trip will not be provided: we will meet at the Sand Island trailhead of the D&L Trail, a ten-minute walk from campus. The African Wedding is our biggest annual event hosted by the African Students Association of both Lehigh anf Lafayete to celebrate the rich traditions of African weddings. This event is open to the Lehigh Community and aims to foster unity among different cultures and backgrounds in a celebration of love. The ceremony will include an already selected bride from Lehigh and a groom from Lafayette. They will have a grand entrance accompanied by their respective wedding parties to begin the festivities. The night will consist of music, dancing, games, performances, and a feast with traditional African dishes. Overall, African weddings are a joyous celebration of love, family, and culture. They are often rooted in traditions and customs passed down through generations, and they serve as an important reminder of the rich cultural heritage of the African continent. This creates unity and gives a sense of home to many students. The wedding will be held at the Aster Ballroom- Hyatt Hotel. Doors will open at 7pm.
