The American Society of Civil Engineers Lehigh Valley Chapter is hosting a bridge tour. The tour consists of visiting bridges in downtown Bethlehem and will be led by Greg Kuklinski of Alfred Benesh and Co.! This is an amazing opportunity to learn more about Bethlehem, PA as well as learn about bridges! The tour will start are Fritz Lab and consist of driving to different bridges with a discussion about each of them. The Office of Student Engagement and the Center for Career and Professional Development are bringing speaker Sean Aiken to campus to talk about his One Week Job experience. After graduating with a business degree, Sean wasn't quite sure what he wanted to do. He set up a website asking for a job for one week with all wages to be donated to charity. What followed was a year spent exploring different industries and allowed Sean to discover his passion. Since this experience, Sean travels the world speaking about how to find one's passion in life and how that translates into professional life. For mental illness awareness week, we are hosting an event to look specifically mental health and its relation with masculinity. It will be an open discussion for anyone in the space to share their experiences about how masculinity has affected their or someone they know's mental health. This event connects to the CGE's mission because it is creating a non-judgemental and safe space for people to discuss issues pertaining to gender practices with the intent of moving past preconceived social barriers to make for a more equitable campus.
