Special guest speakers, Emma Daley and Fuzzy Konner, the founders of Consent Beyond Yes Do you think of consent as a chore? Are you confused about how it could be sexy? Come learn how to discover mutual desires, communicate in sexy ways, and open yourself and your partner(s) to greater pleasure! While sexual assault has rightfully gotten a lot of attention recently, it has also had the unfortunate consequences of giving consent a distinctly unsexy reputation and, frankly, making people afraid of sex. But consent doesn’t just prevent violations—it also makes sex more fun and brings people closer. This workshop will engage consent as a collaborative approach to creating intimacy and pleasure. Together, we will practice identifying, voicing, and negotiating desires and boundaries. Regardless of your relationship status or style, learning to make empowered choices that reflect what you really want will lead to deeper fulfillment in your sex life and beyond! Fall schedule and sign up: lehigh.edu/go/tbybyoga Trauma-informed yoga is a research proven way to help survivors of trauma deal with their trauma symptoms. It is a combination of focused breathing and mindfulness skills, as well as healing poses. Trauma-informed yoga is an opportunity to learn how to work with your own discomforts. It is a judgement free zone where every participant is able to go at their own pace and skill level. The practice is not meant to be a high cardio or strength testing workout, it focuses on grounding, breathing, and mindfulness with comfortable, stretching poses. Our instructor, Liz Jordon, is certified in trauma-informed practice. The instructor does not leave her own mat and will never touch participants to adjust their pose throughout the practice. It is a space where your body is entirely yours. Students, faculty, and staff of all gender identities at all levels of healing after a trauma are welcome and can benefit from trauma-informed yoga.
