The term "well-being" can have many meanings. What does it mean to you? If you're curious about how to support your own well-being and the well-being of others, we invite you to join us in CareWell.
During a CareWell workshop, you'll...
- Reflect, connect, and collaborate with others
- Practice skills to support yourself and others through stress
- Draw on insights from your strengths, values, and experiences
- Explore ways in which you can promote well-being and belonging at Lehigh
Keep an eye out for continued CareWell programming throughout the semester to continue your well-being journey and maximize benefits.
College is a pivotal time for exploring identity, values, and beliefs. Why not begin by examining your personal definition of leadership? In this workshop, students will engage in a leadership beliefs spectrum activity to recognize and explore the similarities and differences in their peers' leadership philosophies. Through this activity, participants will initiate discussions about popular leadership trends and start to shape or revise their own leadership philosophies.
Leadership LaUnchpad is a series of stand-alone leadership workshops throughout the Fall semester designed to assist first-year students to cultivate their leadership skills, discover their personal leadership philosophy, and gain knowledge about current leadership trends. Using the 5 bLUeprint foundations as a premise, students will participate in experiential-learning workshops and group discussions to LaUnch into their leadership journey at Lehigh. These workshops count towards the 5x10 requirement and a meal is provided at each workshop. Due to room capacities and food purposes, students must RSVP on LINC. The experience of stress leaves a chemical footprint that is initiated with your breath. Often, this stress response is unconscious and also necessary, providing energy to match the need. However, if the chemicals of stress become a habit or go unchecked, the body's immune system response is weakened. Fortunately, the same breath - made conscious - acts as a remedy and resource to bring the body and mind into balance. In this session you will learn about the physiology of stress as well as participate in useful practices from yogic tradition. Breath, movement and mindfulness support overall physical, emotional and mental well being.
