Are you busy? Too busy to write and send a postcard? Would you like to learn how to send a no-hassle, no-cost postcard while learning the history of postcards?
In this session, participants will view Lehigh's vintage postcard collection, identify various postcard formats and handwriting styles, and transcribe handwritten messages. They will also learn how to find more information about the locations, senders and recipients of postcards by using Lehigh Library resources such as Ancestry.com, Historical Newspapers, the Brown and White, Alumni Directories...
You should join us if you are too busy to call home and would like to make family and friends happier than ever by sending a customized Lehigh postcard!
Pre-Halloween candy will be served...

This workshop will focus on intercultural competence and strategies for building a positive relationship with your international teaching assistant (ITA). Students will discuss ways to strengthen intercultural communication skills, navigate miscommunications, and work more effectively with their multilingual TA. Communication is a two way process. Learning strategies to develop effective lines of communication, get the most out of office hours, and build a working rapport with their ITA, will help students and ITAs to forge more positive, supportive classroom relationships.
