Being an Inclusive, Effective Activist

Event Date

This event will introduce students to the idea of student activism at Lehigh and how to get involved.

We will review the steps you take for effective change, especially trying to fight against the notion that activism is just protests. We want to teach studenst about the importance of trying established avenues first, how to garner support among the student body, and how to keep fighting for change after your big protest.

We also want to educate students on how to assess the needs of their community and advocate for what's best for the whole instead of only what impacts them.

Towards the end we will tell studesnts about our organization and how they can get involved with us if want or start thier own movements.
