Presented by the Lehigh Valley Health Network Sexual Assault Forensic Evidence Nurses

Join the Forensic Evidence Exam Nurses from Lehigh Valley Hospital to learn about the care of a sexual assault survivor while myth busting preconceived notions. This live interactive simulation will depict the multidisciplinary approach to caring for survivors of sexual assault, while clarifying many misconceptions. Participants will have the opportunity to interact and develop the scenario and assist in formulating outcomes for the survivor.

Sex Communication Workshops

Event Date

The sex communication workshops are a series of 4 self-reflection and discussion based workshops. Their goal is to help students explore their awareness, attitudes, knowledge, and skills about sexuality in order to create pleasurable interactions during sex through effective communication and the ability to understand and know one’s self and partners. These workshops are designed to create a foundation for a lifelong process because competence with one sex partner does not mean competence with another.

Alcohol and Consent

Dissecting Rape Culture

Event Date

Presented by Crime Victims Council of the Lehigh Valley

This program examines societal norms and their effect on how we view sexual violence. Students will analyze advertisements and discuss how the images aid in the objectification of women. This program will then go into further discussion of victim blaming and common myths around sexual violence. Bystander intervention will also be discussed so students can help shift these cultural beliefs into a more accepting and understanding environment.
