The John A. Cable Center for Athletics Leadership Development was created in 2008 through the vision and generosity of alumnus John A. Cable ’45 as an extension of Lehigh University’s Office of Student Leadership Development. Our vision is to foster and inspire a culture of positive leadership within the athletics community in which enhanced self-awareness and the courage to think independently serve as the foundation for selfless action and serious commitment to teammates and shared goals. Through honest evaluation, regular reflection and clear communication, our student-athletes will be prepared to navigate team leadership challenges in partnership with their coaches, and personal and professional leadership challenges in life beyond college sports.
