The Office of Academic Transitions is dedicated to supporting students' academic and personal success.  Through proactive outreach, the OAT serves as a resource for ensuring that students are aware of and benefit from campus support and opportunities that will facilitate their overall success at the university.

Responsibilities:

The OAT Graduate Assistant will be responsible for providing academic mentoring and study skills assistance to specific student populations.  The GA will conduct 1:1 meetings with students to develop and review their academic success plan, as well as strengthen their time management and study skills.  Responsibilties will also include collaborating with other offices to develop workshops and programs for identified student populations.  The GA works closely with Academic Life and Student Transitions staff and may be tasked with additional duties as assigned.  

Employment and Compensation:   

The term of employment will be from August-May of the academic year.  The assistantship requires 20 hours per week with availability during daytime and evening hours.  Compensation includes tuition remission for up to 9 credits per semester and a standard stipend for the academic year.
