Dean of Students Summer Internship Opportunity

The Dean of Students Office is committed to holistic student development.  To do this we encourage students to achieve their full potential, academically and personally, and support them in their endeavors to do so.   The summer Dean of Students internship is designed to provide a student who demonstrates an interest in a career in the student affairs profession with the opportunity to explore the field professionally.  The internship will expose the student to various departments underneath the student affairs umbrella while allowing them to gain an understanding of the work done in these departments and professional skills such as project management, professional correspondence, and researching and benchmarking various trends within the student affairs field.

Students interested in the DOS internship are required to do the following:

1) Complete the online application form

2) Participate in an interview with 1-3 members of the Dean of Student Leadership Team

3) If selected, the internship must be accepted by a certain date.

Questions about the internship can be directed to the internship supervisor, Jess Manno Director of Planning & Assessment at JEML@LEHIGH.EDU.

A basic overview of the internship responsibilities can be found by here.  Please be aware the details of the responsibilities and projects change greatly from year to year and will be determined in  the late spring based on departmental need.
