The Peer Health Advisors hold educational events each semester

Presentation to First Year Orientation
PHA led peer-to-peer presentations during orientation for all first years students titled “Let’s Face It: Your Wellbeing”, which touched on topics like mental health, caring for community, campus resources, and alcohol/drug protective strategies.
Get Some Rest
Providing students simple and effective ways to sleep well and giveaways such as sleep masks and ear plugs.
Fountain Hill Elementary School Partnership
PHA facilitated an ongoing community partnership with the local Fountain Hill Elementary School to present wellness and communication strategies to second grade classrooms via Zoom during the pandemic.
De-Stress with Bunnies
Bunnies, giveaways, and de-stress tips!
Carnival with the Cops
Chat and get to know the officers of LUPD, play some carnival games & enjoy free pizza.
De-Stress After Dark
A way to unwind and have fun during stressful final week. Complete with free food, movies, massages, and more.
Gift Bags to Quarantined / Isolated Students
Peer Health Advisors put together gift bags with health-related, and spirit-lifting items to be delivered to those students who are quarantined or in isolation on campus.
Food Truck Friday
Sponsored late-night food truck on campus to encourage engagement in protective strategies through free food and water, located at times and locations most at risk according to assessment data collected in HAPS office.
Discussion for Students on Mental Health and Well-being
Representatives from offices that offer resources, services, programs, and opportunities for support and involvement around mental health and well-being hosted a live discussion for students on Tuesday, Friday 16, 2021.
