Kate started in the public health field in 2001, working as a community health program manager in Philadelphia. She worked with underserved populations in North and West Philadelphia, increasing awareness and prevention about lead poisoning, asthma, chronic diseases and breast health. She obtained her MPH from Drexel University in 2009 and in 2020 became an RN. Kate started working with the Lehigh University Health and Wellness Center and COVID Surveillance team in January 2021. Kate is a Bethlehem native and enjoys gardening, listening to music and collecting antiques.
