General Overview of Outreach Services:
The University’s Counseling and Psychological Services Center seeks to help the larger campus community and the overall well-being and resilience of the students within the community. Apart from our clinical services inside our Center, we also offer outreach programming to student groups, student organizations, classes, and departments. This means we can come to you! We will work and collaborate with you in order to best meet your needs with regards to presentations and other outreach services. We offer these services both to address needs of the student body but also of those who work with Lehigh students.
Presence at LU Orientation events: With the exciting start of every new academic year, there is a lot of information for both students and parents to absorb. UCPS enjoys being a presence in orientation events to ensure that incoming students and their parents know of UCPS services and how to access them. The Center also discusses topics related to adjusting to college, managing stress, and how to tend to self-care.
Learning about our services: UCPS frequently gets requests from student organizations and academic departments asking about the services we provide. We are happy to come into meetings or departments to provide this information!
Presentations: UCPS offers presentations that provide a general overview of various topics. These presentations can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on the needs of the person or entity requesting the programming. In addition to the topics listed below, we are also open to developing presentations to meet specific needs as requested.

Providing Support to the Campus Community:
UCPS is available to provide support to the campus as a whole, specific student groups, or campus departments in the event that they have experienced distress related to crises or traumatic incidents. These incidents may have occurred on Lehigh’s campus as well as from larger sociocultural events that might be impacting students.

** Due to the high demand and need during the semester for UCPS services, we ask that all outreach requests be made at least two weeks in advance.
