This session will kick-off the summer webinar series in a fun and interactive way! Get ready to play a little trivia to test your knowledge about what you might need to know as a student or parent/family member (and yes, there will obviously be Lehigh SWAG prizes!). We will share what to expect for the summer, support and resources the OFYE will provide to support and enhance student success, and the ways in which families can directly support their student in the preparation leading up to August arrival and their first-year transition.

In this session, staff members from the Office of Disability Support Services (DSS) will seek to help students with disabilities and their families understand the process for requesting and receiving accommodations at the post-secondary level. Topics covered will include a discussion of the difference between the provision of accommodations and services at the secondary and the postsecondary levels, the definition of reasonable accommodations, the request process at Lehigh, documentation guidelines, and the interactive process timeline. Time will be provided for questions/answers, but the DSS team cannot answer student-specific questions.
