Academic coaching is available to undergraduate and graduate students who are seeking to achieve their academic goals by enhancing academic skills such as goal setting, time management, study strategies, note taking, stress management, and more. In a 30 minute meeting, you can discuss your goals and develop academic strategies to reach your goals with your academic coach. This resource is helpful for students who want to learn about new learning and study strategies. Academic coaching is most effective when you meet with a coach weekly for at least eight weeks (Campbell & Mogashana, 2024). Learn about the coaches and how to schedule a coaching meeting.
15 minute weekly check in meetings can help you stay on track with your plan. In these 15 minute meetings, you will meet with an academic coach to plan out your tasks and goals for the upcoming week. Creating a weekly plan with infused accountability can increase motivation and reduce procrastination. This resource is helpful for students who are seeking accountability to accomplish their plan. Schedule your meetings through Compass
The Co-Workers program is designed to help you implement effective learning and studying strategies while completing your assignments during the session. The Co-Workers session will begin with a 10-20 minute coaching conversation with a peer academic coach focused on your goals and plan for the working session. The remaining time will be spent independently working on your assignments alongside the peer academic coach. You may choose if you would like to schedule a 60 or 90 minute session. This resource is helpful for students who are seeking support in task initiation (Example: "I know what I need to do, but I have a difficult time getting started" or "I feel more focused when someone else is working alongside me"). Schedule your Co-Workers session through Compass.
