Volunteer Experience

You are here

Begin your journey at Lehigh through service! As a participant of VE, you will spend three days learning about the local Bethlehem community, engaging in meaningful conversation and service, with local agencies and your fellow peers. During the evenings, participants will take part in fun events with your fellow volunteers to get to know your new home and new friends. Some activities in the past have been: mini golfing, bowling, going to Iron Pigs Baseball games, and Final Night Banquets.

VE is hosted by Lehigh's Community Service Office and provides a great pathway to continue serving throughout your time at Lehigh. Trips are led by community-oriented, upper-class students who are committed to giving you the best introduction to Lehigh's campus and surrounding community.

Some agencies you may work with include:

  • Feed the Children
  • Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center
  • New Bethany Ministries
  • Victory House
  • Local schools in the Bethlehem Area School District
