Are you fascinated by all things global? Intrigued by both our shared humanity and our vast differences? Concerned about our future as a planet? Global PreLUsion invites you to jump into these considerations with like-minded peers.

Led by the Office of International Affairs, this program allows you to start thinking about your global interests, identities, skills and commitments as you begin your global trajectory at Lehigh.

In these few days, you will learn about yourself, others and the larger world as you engage in a set of experiences designed to give you a first look at global learning at and beyond Lehigh.

  • Explore your values and early thoughts about how you hope to show up and contribute in the world. What issues matter to you? What makes these important? How can you learn more and get involved?
  • While all global issues are related in complex ways, examine one key global issue in more depth, learning from discussions with your peers and invited speakers/facilitators.
  • Participate in a day trip to NYC for an engagement with the UN to learn more about this issue from a global leader-expert, complemented by a second site visit to look at the issue from a different angle and lunch with Lehigh alums and partners engaged in global work.
  • Take part in a micro-immersive experience as practice for study abroad.
  • Be discussing throughout these few days what global skills and perspectives are needed to shape a more just and sustainable shared future.
  • Wrap up with a personalized global professional development plan as you begin your Global Lehigh experience.
