Get ready to play a little trivia to test your knowledge about what you might need to know as a parent or family member of a student (and yes, there will obviously be Lehigh SWAG prizes!). We will share what to expect for the summer, support and resources the OFYE will provide to support and enhance student success, and the ways in which families can directly support their student in the preparation leading up to August arrival and their first-year transition.

College is a foundational time for building healthy intimate relationships, and new college students are at the highest risk for experiencing sexual and relationship violence. Most new college students don't receive comprehensive, medically accurate, and inclusive sexuality education prior to coming to school which puts them at a disadvantage. But...parents and guardians can help by initiating these types of conversations prior to the start of school and this session is designed to help navigate talking with your new college students about their values, expectations, boundaries, desires, non-negotiables, consent, and communication.
