The Student Leadership Advancement Team is a cohort-based program that meets for 1.5 hours every other week during the Spring semester. Through a series of structured experiential learning workshops, participants will be able to:

  1. create a community with other students on campus
  2. deepen their understanding of leadership through structured experiential learning workshops and
  3. explore diverse leadership perspectives from peers to prepare them to lead in an interconnected world.

Interested in joining SLA? Applications open annually in January.

100% of participants in 2024 and 2025 reported feeling a strong sense of community with their peers through the program.

In 2025, 100% of participants agreed they were able to deepen their understanding of leadership through our structured experiential learning workshops.

Students must attend at least 6 out of 8 bi-weekly workshops and complete a final project at the end of the semester about what they learned through the program.

There are no homework assignments, exams, or graded work. Our sessions will focus on experiential learning activities and discussions. We may organize optional trips and activities outside of regular sessions.
