Leadership LaUnchpad is a series of stand-alone leadership workshops throughout the Fall semester designed to assist first-year students to cultivate their leadership skills, discover their personal leadership philosophy, and gain knowledge about current leadership trends. Using the 5 bLUeprint foundations as a premise, students will participate in experiential-learning workshops and group discussions to LaUnch into their leadership journey at Lehigh. These workshops count towards the 5x10 requirement and a meal is provided at each workshop. Due to room capacities and food purposes, students must RSVP on LINC

Fall 2024 Workshops

Creative Curiosity: What is Leadership?

College is a pivotal time for exploring identity, values, and beliefs. Why not begin by examining your personal definition of leadership? In this workshop, students will engage in a leadership beliefs spectrum activity to recognize and explore the similarities and differences in their peers' leadership philosophies. Through this activity, participants will initiate discussions about popular leadership trends and start to shape or revise their own leadership philosophies.

Self Concept: Trade Me A Value

Unlock the power of your personal values in this engaging and interactive workshop. Whether you're looking to make more confident decisions as a leader, build deeper relationships, or find a career path that truly resonates with you, understanding your core values is the key. Through a series of engaging activities, participants will identify, prioritize, and reflect on their core personal values.

Strategic Adaptability: Navigating Change in Your First Year

College life brings new challenges and unexpected changes, but with the right strategies and mindset, students can turn these into opportunities for growth and success. This workshop aims to equip students with essential leadership skills, helping them navigate their first year at Lehigh with confidence and resilience. Through a fun, experiential activity, participants will explore the dynamics of change and the challenges they will encounter during their college journey.

Healthy Connections: How Well Do You Listen?

Unleash your inner listener and build stronger connections with other first-year students! This engaging workshop is designed to enhance your active listening skills and transform the way you connect with others by taking a self-assessment and participating in a fun listening challenge. By the end of this workshop, you'll discover the power of truly hearing and understanding those around you.

Critical Consciousness: Exploring Your Social Identities

Dive into your identities and explore the interplay of personal, social, and cultural factors that shape your worldview. Develop tools to become more effective and culturally competent leaders who feel equipped to navigate diverse perspectives and lead with empathy. Through a reflective experiential activity, participants will gain a better understanding of their identities and of others, fostering self-awareness and collaboration.
